Langland has appointed Mike Brightley as creative director for its advertising section.
Brightley has more than 14 years of healthcare advertising experience and has worked for companies including Ogilvy Healthworld, PAN and was most recently associate creative director at TBWA/WorldHealth.
Brightley has worked on several insightful campaigns including applied emotion-recognition technology for adaptive storytelling.
He lists a documentary on surfing doctors called White Coats and Wetsuits as a career highlight.
The appointment follows the launch of Langland’s new proposition in 2020 and several new hires following continued growth over the past 12 months.
Brightley said: “It’s an exciting time to be joining Langland. I have been working towards this next step in my career for a while and was attracted by the agency’s ambitious vision, deep-rooted commitment to creative excellence and unique approach to healthcare communications.
“Their Think Further ethos encourages curiosity and inspires proactivity: vital traits for a thriving agency culture. I can’t wait to share ideas and experiences with the team, continue to push creative boundaries and deliver the best work of my career.”
Andrew Spurgeon, executive creative director, Langland and chief creative officer, Publicis Health Europe, added: “I’m delighted to welcome Mike to Langland’s Senior Creative Team. He is a proven and award-winning creative with outstanding writing ability.”
